I feel like I should read some William Styron. Either The Confessions of Nat Turner or Sophie’s Choice. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Random House just published a new collection of Styron’s (mostly) old stories about the Marines in World War II. They seem to be gritty and wonderful and expertly written.
