This performance was originally from a great jazz documentary called Calle 54, which is totally worth watching. It features a trio led by Michel Camilo. Jazz is all about collaboration, and this has got to be one of the most incredible collaborations I’ve ever seen.
Some highlights that will hopefully convince you that a 7-minute jazz performance is worth your time:
0:54 Let’s just start with the drummer’s shirt.
4:09 – 4:26 Michel’s hands are moving so fast the camera can’t accurately capture their motion.
5:06 A bass solo that finally shows why he needs all those extra strings. (Side note: This guy looks vaguely like James Earl Jones, and he’s playing bass worthy of Darth Vader… just sayin’.)
6:30 One-handed drumming.
7:00 The bass player looks like he laid an egg.

– Brook Reeder
Also:
– I suspect but cannot confirm that the drummer is Jimmy Chamberlin of The Smashing Pumpkins.
– Some of this looks like the b-roll from an ad for an ED pill.
